Orthotics |
Orthotic insoles are custom made for each individual to help promote proper support and correct function of the foot and ankle. Often people who experience foot pain it is usually due to an imbalance and so a person may often experience pain in the foot, ankle, knee and shin. Orthotic insoles will correct the imbalance and support the foot.
Conditions for Orthotic Insoles:
- Achilles Tendonitis
- Ankle Sprains
- Flat Feet
- Arch Pain
- Pronation
- Bunions
- Knee/Shin/Toe pains
What to expect:
On the first visit a physical exam will be done to determine the severity of a person’s symptoms. A walking assessment will be done in order to determine how a person walks, whether it is toes in/out, etc. After this a mold is taken of the feet. This is done using a foam cast and pushing the feet down firmly into it. After this is done the mold is sent to a lab where a plastic orthotic insole is made. When the person receives the insole it can then be used in any closed shoe to support proper alignment of the foot in motion.
