What is Massage Therapy? |
Massage therapy is an area of health care that treats muscles and connective tissues to enhance a person’s function and overall well-being. Massage therapy is very beneficial for musculoskeletal disorders as well as dysfunction that affect the circulatory, lymphatic, muscular, immune and nervous systems.
At Bloor Dufferin Rehabilitation Centre, we have registered therapists that can treat a number of different issues. Our therapists treat injuries related to motor vehicle accidents, work place accidents, general injuries as well as sports related injuries. We have therapists who are certified in Vodder Lymph Drainage as well as Deep Tissue and Swedish Massage therapies.
Massage Therapy is effective treatment of:
- Lower back pain
- Shoulder and Neck tightness
- Helps relieve headaches
- Sprains and Strains
- Muscle Spasms
- Stress
- musculoskeletal dysfunctions

What to expect on the first visit:
Upon your first visit you will be asked to fill out a small health intake form. This takes approximately 5-10 minutes to complete. This intake form will help the therapist determine an individual treatment plan for you. It is a good idea to arrive early because being late for your appointment will be cut out of your treatment time. |
