Buttock Injuries
|
Although you may not consider it a risk of injury, the human buttock is a muscle that is connected to many other functional nerves and muscles performing critical tasks on a daily basis. Connected to the hips, legs and lower back, buttock injuries can be a result of another injury, improper movement in the body, or even a bathroom-related accident. Many people have experienced such injuries, and many more certainly will have some sort of experience with the joints and the muscles in that sensitive area. Understanding the function of the Sacroiliac joints in the lower back contribute to the successful healing of buttock injuries at the Bloor Dufferin Rehabilitation Centre Toronto rehabilitation centre. Symptoms of such an injury can include pain located either to the left or right of the lower back, aches and sharp pains restricting movements, groin pain, leg pains and other side effects that restrict movement of the lower part of the body as a result of the strain to the joints in that region. Finding the symptoms however does not guarantee a clear diagnosis unless you visit your physician or a certified facility such as the Bloor Dufferin Rehabilitation Centre in the GTA. Trauma, hormones and inflammatory joint disease can all contribute to buttock injuries, and possibly leg injuries, sharp pains, lower back injuries and restricted muscle mobility.

There are many treatments that involve injections in the sciatic nerve region, paving the way to recovery from a buttock injury. Just like any other type of injury, acute pain and discomfort are expected, and depending on the extent of the injury, recovery time will of course vary from patient to patient. Trauma can come in different forms ranging from hard falls, sports injuries and motor vehicle accidents. Even if the specific buttock region is not afflicted directly, diagnosing the back injury or leg injury could mean finding an underlying cause for buttock injuries and prescribing a treatment through the Bloor Dufferin Toronto rehab centre. Some of the most common buttock injuries are known as Piriformis syndrome, Sacriolliac joint pain, Myofascial pain Sciatica and others. These afflictions are not necessarily conditions of an injury, but they could be symptoms of injury to the buttock region, or another region that is causing related problems in the lower back area. With the number of joints in that region, a physician or a certified therapist at the Bloor Dufferin Rehabilitation Centre Toronto rehab will need to make the assessment and diagnosis before any type of massage therapy or physical therapy treatments can be prescribed to the patient.
